About Us

Who We Are

The Tioga County Advocacy, Support, And Prevention (ASAP) Coalition was created to deal with important issues like alcohol-related deaths and the opioid epidemic. We are a group that works together throughout the county and receives support from the Drug Free Communities (DFC) grant; this has helped us bring much needed resources to Tioga County and the coalition.

People from diverse backgrounds join us and help us strengthen the power of our community. Community volunteers have been vital in driving our mission forward, which is to prevent youth substance use and enhance the community’s ability to effectively address risk and protective factors across the county.

Every year, the coalition organizes awareness events and activities. These events aim to remember and honor those we have lost to overdose, encourage conversations about prevention, increase access to treatment options, and raise awareness in order to reduce stigma surrounding substance use.

Mission

To engage our communities in efforts to understand, prevent, and reduce youth and community substance misuse through increased collaborations inspiring community level change.

Vision

Working together for a healthy Tioga County free from the effects of substance misuse.

Motto

We are stronger together!
